The Vermont Ski and Snowboard Museum invites the public to its Annual Meeting at 5:30PM June 20, 2019 in the Museum located at One South Main Street in Stowe, Vermont.
The meeting will review some of the highlights from the past year and take a look at what’s ahead for the Museum. The Museum will also recognize several people who have helped make the Museum a success both in the past year and over many years.
Shawn Sullivan will be recognized with the Trailbreaker award which is given to prior members of the Board or significant Museum supporters that deserve permanent recognition. Shawn was first introduced to the Museum while working in Sugarbush's marketing department. He coordinated the Museum’s Golf Across Vermont Tournament from 2003-2010 and served on the Board of Directors from 2004-2014.
Once again the meeting will feature a vintage film provided by Board member Rick Moulton of Keystone Productions. This year it’s the 1937 film “Schlitz on Mount Washington.” The film is a skiing farce narrated by Lowell Thomas and shows where Warren Miller may have gotten some ideas for his later movies.
Light snacks and liquid refreshments will be available.
